Peace Everyone, I’m mad excited about the many projects in the pipes here at Fresh Chopped Beats. You may or may not know that I record most of the artists on the label at my lab, The Legion of Dume.

Coming up first, Khingz is going to drop a brand spanking new EP. This album will be absolutely free and feature all original beats and brand new lyrics. This is not a mixtape. Khingz and I have finished recording and mixing the album, and it will be mastered as soon as we get the scratches put down.

Gabriel Teodros is preparing to drop his sophomore solo album. GT and I finished recording his last verse a couple of weeks ago. Congrats GT! It’s been a long time riding. We’ve started mixing the record and expect it to be done soon. The album is chocked full of soul and we expect to begin working on a video pronto.

Some of you may not know this but King Khazm is far, far along in his project. We are working hard on it, and there are a good solid 12 or so tracks done. The sound of the album is dark, gritty, true school. Features have been kept to a minimum and for those of you out there who really want to know who Khazm is on the inside.. This is the chance. Production is handled by Khazm, RokSoul0 and myself.

Last, but not least… on the low the new Dume album is being constructed. I’m about six songs in and am working closely with super producer, and old school homie, Bean One, longtime collaborator RokSoul0 and of course, my damn self. A Few surprises are in store on this project. More about it soon. I’ll be updating everyone on the song titles, subject matter and general concept of the album.

True School Lives!

Bio

What happened to conscious hip hop? When was the last time you heard an emcee spend time on a record encouraging the economic, political and intellectual growth of the people? Producer and emcee Dume41 misses it too, which is why he couldn’t turn his back on the true school boom bap aesthetic he grew up on. Enlisting the help of the “Holy Ghost of Northwest Hip Hop” Specs One for two energetic appearances on the microphone and Seattle’s own deck masters, The Elefaders for all turntable work, Dume releases his thirteen track opus, “God Save The King”. Production is handled by Dume himself, with three tracks produced by long time collaborator RokSoulo.

In keeping the guest appearances to a minimum, Dume leaves room to write coherent songs that consistently deliver topical content. The album, stocked full of grime , chopped phrases and moving melodies, is available for purchase from Amazon, Napster and CDBaby.com.

Dume also masters hip hop music at his lab The Legion of Dume.
